UNIBEN Geosciences & Petroleum Engineering Admission Form 2018/2019

The Centre of Excellence in Geosciences & Petroleum Engineering (CoE), University of Benin is a collaborative effort between the University and Industry Partners and Stakeholders.

THE PROGRAMMES AND DISTINCTIVENESS:

Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates for admission into the following Postgraduate programmes by the Centre of Excellence in Geosciences and Petroleum Engineering:

Integrated Petroleum Exploration and Evaluation Studies (Geology or Geophysics Option) And Integrated Petroleum Engineering and Production Studies.

These programmes are aimed at developing skilled professional graduates in key areas of Geosciences and Petroleum Engineering including exploration, appraisal, development, production and value creation required in the Oil and Gas sector.

At the point of graduation, they would have acquired the requisite skills to make them function effectively in the oil and gas industry as young professionals. The training programmes offered at the Centre ensure that the graduates are well equipped with knowledge of up-to-date concepts and skills, current technologies and methods, and have the ability to adapt to new demands in a dynamic and technologically driven world of the oil and gas industry.

In addition, the programmes offer leadership training to make the graduates functional and productive in the multi-dimensional work place environment. Significant emphasis will be placed on multidisciplinary approach necessary for solving subsurface problems in Geosciences and Petroleum Engineering. The programmes will be executed with strong links to industry both in the content and delivery modes.

TARGET STUDENTS:
The programmes are intended for highly motivated graduates wishing to pursue professional careers in Geosciences and Petroleum Engineering, including practising professionals currently employed in the Exploration and Production industry as well as Geosciences Agencies and Consulting firms or organizations.

DURATION:
The programmes will be offered on full-time basis for a full period of 18 calendar months which includes a mandatory six months internship in an Exploration &Production Company or other Geosciences Organizations and Agencies geared towards executing a practical research project.

ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS:

  1. Applications are invited from interested candidates as well as staff of corporate organizations and relevant agencies.
  2. Chargeable fees for the programmes are competitive and comparable with the quality of learning delivered. Applicants are advised to apply for external sponsorships.

Intended Applicants must possess either of the following:
  • First degree from recognized Universities in Geology, Geophysics or Petroleum Engineering, with a minimum CGPA of 4.0.
  • First degree in any other relevant fields in Physical Sciences or Engineering with a minimum CGPA of 4.0.
  • Experienced Young professionals of Exploration & Production Companies, Geosciences Agencies & Organizations and Consulting Companies with a minimum CGPA of 3.80 and recommendation from their sponsoring companies and agencies.

Follow the relevant steps outlined.

Photocopies of the degrees (academic transcripts to be requested from awarding institutions and sent to the Postgraduate School).

Letter of recommendation from at least three (3) referees, one of who must be an academic staff of the department from the graduating institution.

Corporate bodies and agencies that wish to nominate their staff can do so by endorsing completed application forms as sponsors and requesters.

All candidates must provide a brief description in not more than one page of their work experience and current task(s) and how the training will add value to them.

UNIBEN PGD in Forensic Science and DNA Analysis Admission Form 2018/2019

The purpose of the Post Graduate Diploma in Forensic Science and DNA Analysis is to offer training on DNA Analysis and to introduce the student to the science of DNA typing methods by focusing on basic techniques used in the Forensic DNA laboratories.

With high level of mortality/morbidity due to road traffic accident (RTA), flood disasters, militancy, kidnapping, robberies, aviation/marine disasters and often repeated cases of mass burials of unknown dead victims and dispute in paternity of babies or adult, the need for forensic science infrastructures cannot be ignored in our society. Apart from DNA Analysis there are several other disciplines of forensic that are applied every day. 

Through the programme, the Centre intends to cover several of the disciplines with the available human resources. Other available disciplines are: Forensic Toxicology, Forensic Pathology, Digital Forensic, Forensic Odontology, Forensic Document Examination, Crime Scene Investigation, Forensic Psychology and Social Works, Legal Forensic (Criminal investigation and trials). Forensic Accounting/Auditing, and several others.

This program aims to:
  • Provide exemplary forensic science education in diverse disciplines at the graduate level
  • Select students who have successfully completed an undergraduate science or arts or other disciplines degree with a strong GPA and who aspire to become the future forensic scientists in the various forensic science laboratories
  • Develop in these select students the skill necessary for working in this profession including ethics, integrity, the ability to devise innovative methods and techniques and the capacity to integrate new technology.
This comprehensive program incorporates a unique curriculum that balances breadth and depth of study through scholarly coursework which incorporates the logic and workings of the criminal justice system. In depth coursework covers the theoretical underpinnings of the biological and physical sciences as used in the collection, analysis, interpretation, reporting of evidence as well as its use as evidence during trials.

Duration/Mode of Study:

  1. Full-Time – One Academic Session (Minimum 9 months)
  2. Part-Time -Two academic sessions (Minimum 18 months)

Eligibility

  1. General criteria: Graduates from all fields/disciplines from reputable tertiary institutions (both universities and polytechnics) from within and outside Nigeria are eligible to apply.
  2. Waiver criteria: Mature citizens/ officers in civil service, the military, industries and parastatals with cognate experience in related disciplines/career may be granted some forms of waiver.

Requirements for Admission

Forensic science and DNA Analysis is a multidisciplinary field, and as such, University of Benin welcomes applications from students from any background with strong undergraduate records in the biological, chemical or physical sciences, legal, art, social science as well as those in engineering fields. International and domestic students with diverse backgrounds have been successful in our program.

The following are prerequisites that must be met in order to be considered for admission to the program.
  1. WAEC/NECO /GCE /O’ Level with five credits including Mathematics and English.
  2. Bachelor’s degree / HND
Applicants must have already completed a bachelor’s degree (B.A. or B.S. or HND.) in sciences, arts, law, or in any felid from an accredited higher institution or university.

Waiver may be considered for those who are above 45 years old especially those in the Military, Para-military such as Police, Immigration, Prison, Customs, FRSC, INEC and other government establishments with focus on Forensic.

COURSE PREREQUISITES

Applicants must have completed the minimum equivalent to earn a degree or HND in any discipline from an accredited Universities or polytechnics in Nigeria as stipulated above

Applicants must list courses taken to satisfy the prerequisites on the application for admission.

Grade Point Average (GPA) of 2.5 or higher on a five-point scale. Applicants with a technical GPA of 2.5 or higher on a five-point scale are better prepared for this admission. However there will be a waiver as stipulated above for those with work experience in the Military, Para military such as Police, Immigration, Prison, NDLEA, Customs, FRSC, INEC, and other relevant government establishment.

The management of the Umaru Musa Yar’adua University (UMYU), Katsina, School of Pre-Degree and Remedial Studies, invites applications from suitably qualified candidates for admission into any of the following programmes:
  1. Pre-Degree.
  2. IJMB .
  3. ELIP (English Language Immersion Programme).

UMYU Pre-Degree, Remedial & IJMB Admission Forms Eligibility.

  1. Candidates applying for Pre-Degree Programme must possess at least five (5) O’ Level Credits, three (3) of which must be from Basic Science Subjects and two (2) in English Language and Mathematics, at not more than two (2) sittings. The Candidates must also register for the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) and obtain the minimum pass mark approved by the University.
  2. Candidates applying for IJMB Programme must possess at least five (5) O’ Level Credits, three (3) of which must be from Basic Science Subjects and two (2) in English Language and Mathematics, at not more than two (2) sittings.

Online registration for the Screening Exercise for both the UTME and DE candidates will commence on Monday, 23rd July, 20/8 and end at midnight of Sunday, 19th August, 2018.

To register for the exercise, follow the procedure below:

STEP 1: Visit the Sule Lamido University website at www.slu.edu.ng and navigate to Admission from menu and click on Online Application to create an account using functional email address and phone number.

STEP 2: Fill in the Application Form with your accurate details and click on Submit button.

STEP 3:After submitting, the system will generate an Acknowledgement Slip containing your reference number, with which you will proceed for payment.

Candidates Qualified for UMYU Post UTME Screening Exercise.

To be eligible for the screening and aptitude test, a candidate must have:
  1. Scored a minimum of 160 marks and above in the 2018 UTME examination
  2.   Obtained a minimum of five (5) relevant credits at O’ level (including English and Mathematics)
  3. Sat for the relevant UTME subject combination in the 2018 JAMB examination.

How to Apply UMYU Post UTME Form 2018/2019 Admission Screening Exercise.

Eligible candidates are to pay the sum of N2,000.00 only for the screening and aptitude test through the payment options provided on the University’s Application Portal.


The online registration will commence on Monday 16th July 2018. Screening and aptitude test is scheduled to take place on Saturday 11th August 2018. Eligible candidates should upload the following documents on the University’s website before Wednesday 8th August 2018.

Applicant must:
1. Satisfy the Moshood Abiola Polytechnic entry Requirements for each relevant National Diploma Programme;

2. Pass at not below Lower Credit in the relevant National Diploma Programmes from accredited programmes/institutions and have completed a minimum of one calendar year post National Diploma relevant work experience (evidence of industrial work experience is required).

3. Candidates with a Pass at ND level plus two (2) years post qualification cognate experience could be considered for admission;

4. Request his/her former Institution to send transcripts of his/her academic record to the Registrar, Moshood Abiola Polytechnic, Abeokuta;
 
Note: No candidate will be registered before receipt of the academic transcript.

5. Applicants who obtained their National Diploma (ND) from other Polytechnics with Pre- ND as their entry qualification shall not be admitted. Post-qualification School Certificate ordinary level results are not admissible.

6. Candidates with National Diploma in Banking & Finance and Accounting Technician Scheme (ATS) Certificate are not qualified for admission into HND Accountancy Programme.

7. Candidates must pass the screening examination to be conducted by the Polytechnic.

8. Candidates wishing to specialize in either Biology/ Microbiology, Chemistry or Physics must have credit at O’Level in their areas of specialization.

The National Universities Commission (NUC) has released the list of approved postgraduate awarding institutions in Nigeria.

A Monday bulletin from the office of the Executive Secretary on NUC, dated May 14, 2018 listed all federal, state and private universities currently allowed to issue such certificates to students in Nigeria.

The commission said its observed some parastatals and institutes awarding these same postgraduate degrees, either on their own or through unapproved affiliation with Nigerian and foreign universities.

The commission hereby notifies the general public that only the following universities have approval to offer postgraduate programmes at the Masters’ and Ph.D levels in Nigeria as of July 30,2012.

The Council of Legal Education is the regulatory body for the Nigerian Law School, which must be attended by persons willing to practice law in Nigeria. AAU Ekpoma 2018/2019 Post UTME / DE Screening Form

AAU Ekpoma Post UTME and Direct Entry screening application forms for the 2018/2019 academic session are out. AAU post UTME form is now available for purchase online. Both UTME and Direct Entry candidates must register and participate in the screening exercise in order to be considered for admission.

Latest Update: AAU Post UTME Screening application deadline has been extended to 31st August, 2018.

AAU Ekpoma Post UTME 2018 Online Form Application Procedure.

Candidates are advised to apply online at https://aaue.waeup.org/applicants/utme2018 using ATM debit cards on Interswitch.

All such candidates must upload their coloured passport photograph, fill in all relevant Certificates/documents (WAEC/NECO/NABTEB etc. with the correct examination number and pin) to the Portal

Candidates should preview and confirm that the passport photograph is properly uploaded as no complaint of wrong or blank picture will be entertained after submission of forms.

AAU Direct Entry Screening.

All Direct Entry candidates who applied to JAMB for admission and choose Ambrose Alli University (AAU), Ekpoma as Institution of the First Choice are also required to complete the online application form for their screening exercise. All such candidates must enter all relevant certificates documents (WAEC/NECO/NABTEB/NCE/DIPLOMA/DEGREE etc. with the correct examination number and pin) to the Portal.

SCREENING DATES [DIRECT ENTRY STUDENTS]: All Direct Entry applicants are required to present themselves for physical screening starting from Monday 13th – Wednesday 15th August, 2018.

Note: All candidates (both UTME and Direct Entry) are to note that:
  • Application form N2,000.00(Two thousand naira) only will be charged at the point of purchase of the forms online via ATM debit cards on Interswitch
  • All names should be written in full when completing the online application form us no initials shall be entertained.
Mode of Screening: The screening exercise would be by screening of qualifying results (if any).
Awaiting Result: The date for the screening exercise for candidates Awaiting Result would be announced in due course.

WARNING:
  • Any candidates who fails to fill and submit the forms online may forfeit his/her eligibility for consideration of the 2018/2019 academic session admission exercise.

KADPOLY Post UTME Form Eligibility.

Candidates who applied for National Diploma (ND) and B. Tech (Ed) Programmes in the 2017 JAMB admission and chose Kaduna Polytechnic as FIRST or SECOND CHOICE with UTME score of 100 and above (for ND programmes) and a minimum of 120 for B. Tech (Ed).

How to Apply for KADPOLY Post UTME Form Online.

Applicants are to pay Two Thousand Naira (N2,000) only for the Post UTME screening  and Five Hundred Naira (N500) only as bank processing fee. That is a total amount of Two Thousand Five Hundred Naira (N2,500) only.

COOU Post UTME Screening Eligibility: 2018 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) candidate, who chose the university as first choice university and scored 170 or above.

How to Register for COOU Post UTME Form.


Candidates are required to register on-line, on payment of Four thousand nine hundred and fifty naira (N4,950.00) only comprising Screening fees, two thousand naira (N2,000.00); Processing fee, one thousand naira (N1,000.00); Bank charges, four hundred naira (N400.00); Remita charges, five hundred and fifty naira (N550.00); and fee for Accessing of Result, one thousand naira (N1,000.00). 

Candidates are required to further do the following:
  • Pay at any branch of these Banks: Fidelity Bank Plc, Zenith Bank Plc and Eco Bank Plc. Access PIN code for authorized login into the University portal will be issued to candidates following payment at the banks listed above.
  • Upload their recent Passports photographs, Senior School Certificate Examination Results JAMB UTME Result slips, Email and GSM numbers while completing the online registration.
Candidates who fail to upload their SSCE Results, UTME Result slips, GSM Numbers, Email and Passport photographs on their registration form shall be disqualified from the screening process.

The window for Online Registration for the Screening Exercise shall close at midnight, on Thursday, 16th August,2018.

Candidate shall be notified of the result of the Screening Exercise online, as soon as the admission process is completed.

On the home page of the Federal University Wukari website, click on 2018/2019 Pre-Admission Screening

All candidates are advised to click on Pre-Admission Screening Instructions and carefully read the Registration Instructions.
  • On the Admission Menu displayed on the left-hand side, click Pre-Admission Screening Instruction and read carefully.
  • Type in your JAMB Registration Number and SURNAME in the boxes provided. Carefully type in your JAMB Registration Number as any error committed will not allow your details to be displayed.
Thereafter,
  • Registration fee for each candidate is Two Thousand Naira (N2,000.00) only, excluding bank charges.
  • UTME candidates should click on the Get Details button for your JAMB information;
  • DE candidates and those that choose FUW as their second choice should click OK button on the dialog box displayed and enter their names;
  • Click on Make Payment link to go to REMITA PLATFORM.
  • Make Payment
    • Select your ATM card type (e.g Visa or Master Card)
    • Enter your Card Number
    • Enter Card Expiry Date and the card CVV2 (the 3 digits on the reverse side of the card and lastly enter your card pin; and then click on Pay.

    • PASSPORT SPECIFICATION:
      • Acceptable format is JPEG.
      • Picture must be digital passport photograph.
      • Resolution must be at least 200 DPI.
      • Dimension should not be less than 600 × 600 pixels.
      • Each photograph should capture the head and top of the shoulders so that the face takes up to 70-80% of the photograph.
      • Show the eyes looking directly at the camera.
      • Show skin tone naturally.
      • Have a uniform red background.
      • Maximum of 25KB..
  • On completion of bio-data. click on Next Step button then click OK on the message dialog box.
  • All Direct Entry (DE) candidates and those who choose FUW as their choice should complete the programme of choice and click on Save then click OK on the message dialog box.
  • On completion of choice of Institution click Next Step button.
    For Direct Entry (DE) candidates and those who choose FUW as their choice;
    • Direct Entry candidates are required to select their Highest Academic Qualification(s) from the drop down and click on Save. On the dialog box click OK;
    • To add more Higher Academic Qualifications click on qualifications dropdown to select your additional qualifications, click on save; and then Click on Next Step.
    All candidates (UTME and DE) are required to supply their O’ level (O/L) details as follows:
    • Pick Number of sitting(s) by clicking on the drop-down button
    • Enter all the required O’ level (O/L) details; Pick as applicable in your result; and
    • Click on Submit button then click OK on the message dialog box.
    • Falsification of result will lead to automatic disqualification at any stage.
  • Click Print Tab to print out the following:

Federal University, Dutsin-Ma (FUDMA) Remedial Admission Form 2018/2019

Federal University, Dutsin-Ma (FUDMA), School of General and Preliminary Studies (SOGAPS) invites applications from suitably qualified candidates for admission into its programmes of Preliminary & Remedial studies for the 2018/2019 academic session.

Objectives of FUDMA Preliminary & Remedial Studies Programmes.
  1. Offer Pre-degree training for Preliminary students  in Science, Arts and Social Sciences courses;
  2. Offer training for Remedial students to remedy their ‘O’ level deficiency;
  3. Assist SOGAPS students to gain admission direct into 100 level  in Federal University Dutsinma; and
  4. Make SOGAPS Students familiar with University system.

FUDMA Preliminary & Remedial Studies Admission Eligibility.

  • For Preliminary studies:– A candidate should possess five (5) credits in Eng, Maths, and three subjects in any of the following courses: Science/Arts and Social Sciences courses.
  • For Remedial studies:– A candidate should possess at least three (3) credits in any of the following courses: Science/Arts and Social Sciences subjects.
All candidates both (Preliminary & Remedial) are to note that the screening exercise is for character, as well as for academic and biodata credentials.

How to Apply for FUDMA Preliminary & Remedial Studies Admission.

All interested candidates (Science, Arts and Social Sciences courses) are advised to follow the procedures below:
  1. Visit our application portal at http://sogaps.fudutsinma.edu.ng/application, locate and click Start Application at the bottom left corner of the page to start your application.
  2. Fill and submit the “Application Form”.
  3. A “Payment Transaction Slip” is generated for you. On it, you will find your unique Transaction ID for making payments, as well as your Application Form Number.
  4. Print a copy of your Payment Transaction Slip, and proceed to pay a non-refundable fee of N5,300 (Five thousand, three hundred naira only) using the payment procedure highlighted below.
PAYMENT PROCEDURE
  1. log on unto www.remita.net
  2. Click on the ‘PAY A FEDERAL GOVERNMENT AGENCY’ box which redirects you to a new page
  3. On the ‘Name of MDA’ box type FEDERAL UNIVERSITY DUTSINMA
  4. On the ‘Name of Service/Purpose’, click on the drop box and select ‘SOGAPS Application Form’ option.
  5. On the ‘Description’ box type ‘SOGAPS Application Form’
  6. On the ‘Amount to pay’ a non-refundable fee of five thousand three hundred naira (N5,300.00) only
  7. On the purpose box type ‘SOGAPS Application Form’, complete the form and print. Proceed to any of the commercial banks and make payments through remita.
  8. Candidates are advised to come along with the printed Transaction ID from the portal and evidence of payment from the bank for presentation to the University’s Bursary Department for collection of the University receipt on the screening exercise date.
  9. Return to the Portal (http://sogaps.fudutsinma.edu.ng/application) after collection of receipt, enter your Application Form Number and email address to continue your application.
  10. Complete and submit the full application form with accurate data.

Bowen University 2018/2019 Supplementary Post UTME Form Out

This is to inform the general public that the 2018/19 Supplementary admission screening exercise of Bowen University, Iwo into degree programmes is scheduled to hold on Saturday, 11th August, 2018.

Candidates Eligible for Bowen University Supplementary Post UTME.

The following categories of candidates are eligible for the screening exercise:
  1. Category 1: Candidates who chose Bowen University while completing JAMB form.
  2. Category 2: Candidates who did not choose Bowen University
  3. Category 3: Candidates who had applied but missed the Admission Screening Exercise held on Saturday, 14th July, 2018.

  • d) Birth Certificate
  • e) On-line or Off-line Acknowledgement Card
